Breastfeeding Q&A is an online community group set up for mother-to-mother support, enabling and empowering mums in the UAE to meet their breastfeeding goals in their particular situations.

Members have widely differing circumstances, but the group is there to encourage and support each mother to make decisions which are right for her, and to achieve her own breastfeeding goals.

Mums can receive information and support at any time from other members or our team of volunteers.

Breast Pump & TENS Machine Hire

Hospital grade breast pumps for hire at both Al Wasl and Mirdif branches.

For breast pump hire clients pay a 2000 AED deposit which will be refunded once the breast pump is returned.  The hire of the single pump is 60 AED per week and the double pump set is 180 AED per week. 

TENS Machine Hire:

Available for hire from the Al Wasl branch.  The deposit is 300 AED, which will be refunded when the machine is returned.  It is then a 100 AED charge for hire per week.  We recommend the machine is hired by 37 weeks of pregnancy.

Dru has been a qualified Registered Midwife for over thirteen years and has worked in all areas of Midwifery in Australia and the United Kingdom.  Dru also worked for three years within a Midwifery-led Birth Centre in London which encompasses normality within childbirth, including water and home births.  

Dru is the Head Midwife at Health Bay Polyclinic and offers antenatal classes and breastfeeding support along with a team of six Midwives.

Laure Lewis

French Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) & Public Health Specialist

Laure is qualified as a midwife and public health specialist.  She has lived abroad many years, and in Dubai since 2006; she has two teenage sons and an Australian husband.

With over 20 years of experience preparing women to become mothers, she has been actively engaged with the French speaking community of Dubai carrying out pre/postnatal support.

Pre & Post Natal Educator

I am a former home birth midwife and childbirth educator from the US.  I have lived in the Gulf region since 2002 and have 2 daughters.  

I am a certified lactation educator & counselor and am working toward lactation consultant certification.  I am also an IAIM Certified Infant Massage Instructor and a licensed BabyCalm and ToddlerCalm teacher.  

I currently teach Baby Led Weaning workshops, Baby and Toddler Sleep workshops, Antenatal Breastfeeding and BabyCalming workshops, 5-week Baby Massage/BabyCalm courses for mothers and babies, ToddlerCalming workshops and 4-week ToddlerCalm classes for parents.  I am also co-founder of Love Parenting UAE with Jasmine Collin.

My name is Nicky Langley, I am a mother of four and have lived in Dubai for 11 years.  

I decided to train to be a birth doula with Mother and Baby International (MBI) four years ago and I am loving helping Mums and Dads to achieve the birth experience they want.  

In addition to my birth doula certification and postnatal doula experience, I am certified in Infant Feeding (Breast Feeding) and am currently finishing my Antenatal Teaching qualification with Mother and Baby International.  I adore all aspects of doula work and am happy to provide any support I can.

I teach private and group baby massage classes. Private sessions can take please in your own home, while all group baby massage classes are held in Umm Sequim 1.

Additionally, I offer home visits for Postnatal and breastfeeding support, offering advice, reassurance and guidance to help with any issues you might be having.
